Position Title: Facilities Custodian

Hours: Saturday - Monday 5:00pm - 5:30am, plus 4 hours on Tuesday

Facilities Custodian Responsibilities:
- Maintain facility to meet regulatory requirements and accountability reporting
- Abide by and adhere to all safety or security rules and regulations
- Handle, collect, label, and/or transfer hazardous chemical waste following established procedures and guidelines
- Perform custodial and grounds keeping activities and facilities maintenance functions
- Prepare and implement protocols and procedures involving known infectious or potentially infectious agents
- Perform postal handling required to support the company including, but not limited to, processing outgoing mail, sorting and delivery of incoming mail and delivery of small packages
- Perform some work outside buildings in adverse weather conditions including snow removal
- Communicate with other departments, outside vendors, contractors, and/or local municipalities regarding such things as bids, proposals, and walk-throughs

Requirements for Facilities Custodian:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic math and computer aptitude
- Good communication skills
- Able to work independently and capable of making routine decisions
- Able to adapt to changing priorities
- Able to learn and comply with new methods, processes, and policies
- Ability to respond with a sense of urgency and work effectively and productively
- Able to learn to read building layouts and blueprints
- Able to work in high places using ladders or lifts, and to work in tight or confined spaces for extended periods of time
- Able to successfully complete training on biohazards and other regulatory requirements
- Able to lift up to 50lbs
