This position within the Workday Center of Excellence team will be tasked with the role of release readiness for production changes, managing tenants and refresh schedules, and be the main point of contact for maintenance and technical support issues. 

 

This position will also be actively involved in Quality Assurance for releases including monitoring testing performed for releases and recommending improvements to test plans to reduce defects.  

 

What you are good at

  • Supporting and maintaining Workday HCM, Payroll, Talent Management and Benefits, with experience in tenant management and release management.
  • Collaborating across development teams to help manage releases.
  • Partnering with Scrum Masters, Product Managers, Development Leads and Business leads in troubleshooting, action planning and resolving medium to large problems in our HR Technology environments.
  • Listening, observing, empathizing and analyzing as you troubleshoot end-user as well as complex system and business process issues to resolution.
  • Developing procedures, How-Tos, diagramming process flows and other forms of workflow and process documentation.
  • Collaborating with Developers to plan and improve technology solutions.
  • Providing excellent customer support to Schwab employees.
  • Supporting data-based decision making and problem solving, identifying needed adjustments to Tier 3 practices and maximizing resources.
  • Advocating for the power of technology and automation with a variety of stakeholders, including within HR and technology.

What you have


Required Qualifications

  • Must have 6+ proven experience delivering and supporting/maintaining the Workday platform
  • Strong experience in Workday delivery and release readiness management, as well as experience in tenant management and coordination
  • Workday Integration methods, monitoring experience
  • Problem management and triage experience with proven results/outcomes
  • Proven project management skills – plan, organize, lead, track & report
  • Advanced knowledge of the use of Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Advanced knowledge of development management IT service management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Remedy, ServiceNow (HR), SharePoint)
  • Demonstrate outstanding customer service
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience facilitating and managing Workday in an offshore support model, 24x7 model is preferred
  • Experience with tenant and QA tools such as Kainos a big plus
  • Practitioner knowledge of HR business processes (ex., Talent acquisition, Payroll, Benefits, etc.) highly desired
