About The Position
We are seeking a skilled Internal Medicine Physician for a 10-day locum tenens position at a healthcare facility in California. Starting 05/14/2025, this role involves providing care from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM daily. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling a range of basic internal medicine and primary care cases, with a particular focus on women's health issues. Responsibilities include performing pelvic exams, pap smears, breast exams, and addressing common concerns such as vaginal discharge, pain, UTIs, and vaginitis. This position requires proficiency in using proper instruments for examinations and diagnoses. An active California license and familiarity with AdvancedMD electronic health records system are essential.

Responsibilities and Duties:Â
• Provide comprehensive internal medicine and primary care servicesÂ
• Perform women's health examinations including pelvic exams, pap smears, and breast examsÂ
• Diagnose and treat common women's health issues such as vaginitis, UTIs, and vaginal dischargeÂ
• Utilize proper instruments for examinations and proceduresÂ
• Conduct patient consultations and follow-upsÂ
• Review and analyze patient medical historiesÂ
• Use AdvancedMD electronic health records system for documentationÂ
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as neededÂ
• Educate patients on preventive care and health maintenanceÂ
• Adhere to all facility policies and procedures
Required Qualifications:Â
• Board-certified or board-eligible Internal Medicine PhysicianÂ
• Active California state medical licenseÂ
