About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Pediatrician for a 120-day locum tenens assignment at a multi-specialty clinic in rural California. Starting 04/21/2025, this opportunity offers a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with general outpatient pediatric medicine, including wellness checks, injury prevention, and treatment of common childhood illnesses. Some prenatal and postnatal care may be required, but deliveries are not. Proficiency with Nextgen EMR is also essential.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM


Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide comprehensive pediatric care in a rural outpatient setting 

• Conduct wellness checks, physicals, and preventive care visits 

• Diagnose and treat common childhood illnesses such as colds, flu, and asthma 

• Handle prenatal and postnatal care (no deliveries required) 

• Manage patient schedules with 20-minute blocks for regular visits and 40-minute blocks for new patients 

• Utilize Nextgen EMR system proficiently 

• Adapt to a wide scope of cases due to the rural location 

• Collaborate with other specialists in a multi-specialty clinic setting


Additional Information: 

• Any state license will be accepted 

• Recent and proficient experience with Nextgen EMR is required
