Position Summary:
ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is looking for a HVAC Lead responsible for performing maintenance, repairs and installation of assigned HVAC and Refrigeration equipment and controls, chilled water systems, boilers, and various other mechanical, electrical and building systems in accordance with client expectations and requests.

Essential Functions:
- Troubleshoot, calibrate and adjust pilots, thermostats and burners, transformers, controls, relays, heaters, elements, switches and controls on electrical systems
- Use common tools of the HVAC trade in daily work (e.g multimeter, refrigerant gauges, charging charts, hand tools etc.)
- Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipmentÂ
- Identify maintenance risks on equipmentÂ
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systemsÂ
- Clean, adjust and repair systems, and performs warranty servicesÂ
- Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficientlyÂ
- Provide technical direction and on-the-job training
- Document all equipment installations: make, model, serial number, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary.
- Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Communicate to dispatch, parts procurement, supervisors and managers, as needed, to keep company and customers informed about work progressions.
- Submit detailed, complete and timely reporting.
- Participate in company provided training opportunities on latest industry technologies.
- Ensure compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety ActÂ
- Comply with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirementsÂ
- Assist with customer queries inquiries
- Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must possess a valid, unexpired driver's license
- Must possess HVAC license in the state, county or city jurisdiction in which work will be performed
- Must possess EPA Universal certification credentials
- Must have refrigeration/HVAC trade or vocational certification
- Three (3) years of HVAC experience are required
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience as an HVAC Journeyman Lead is required
- Experience managing equipment vendors and maintenance contractors preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Five (5) years of HVAC experience is preferred
