About The Position

Barton Associates is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens position at a hospital in Kentucky. This 12-day assignment begins on 07/05/2025, and offers a mix of day and night shifts. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling a variety of emergency cases and have experience with Epic EMR. This role requires an active Kentucky medical license and the ability to provide high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced environment. The assignment offers the possibility of extension for the right candidate.

Provider Type Needed: Emergency Medicine Physician 

Schedule: Mix of 12-hour day and night shifts

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide emergency medical care to patients of all ages and conditions 

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries 

• Perform medical procedures and interpret diagnostic tests 

• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals 

• Utilize Epic EMR system for patient documentation 

• Manage patient flow and prioritize cases based on severity 

• Adhere to hospital protocols and best practices in emergency medicine 

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members 

• Participate in any required departmental meetings or training sessions

Additional Information: 

• Must be comfortable with typical emergency room cases 

• Active Kentucky medical license required 

• Experience with Epic EMR preferred 

• Flexibility to work both day and night shifts
