Role Summary  

Position: Chemist

Location: Madison Heights, MI

Shift: Mon - Fri 8:00am - 5:00pm 

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, with prior laboratory experience preferred.
• Previous experience in an Analytical laboratory is highly desirable.
• Strong wet chemistry skills, including titration, filtration, dilution, extraction, and gravimetric determinations.
• Familiarity with analytical instruments such as GC-FID, ICP, IC, SEM/EDS, and FTIR is a plus.
• Prior use of pH and specific ion electrode meters is beneficial.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail, along with strong chemical math and PC skills.
• Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain analytical equipment to ensure accurate results.
• Uphold analytical methods and procedures, ensuring consistency and reliability in testing.
• Contribute to major projects and collaborate with Henkel project teams, delivering results in a timely manner.
• Prepare high-quality customer reports and manage project portfolios.
• Engage in customer-facing activities, including correspondence, presentations, and meetings.
• Ensure compliance with corporate standards, including safety, housekeeping, and quality.
• Maintain digital programs, including Microsoft Office, LIMS, and statistical analysis tools.
