Summary

CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Global Grains and Processing Division. We are looking for a Scale Technician Associate in our soy bean processing facility. The Scale Technician is responsible for being in direct contact with customers, and handling documents of incoming and outgoing products.  You must have excellent interpersonal communication skills, be detail oriented and have a continuous improvement mindset. You must be able to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule of 14 days/nights per month, which includes weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving incoming bean documents, input information in Agris system computer.
  • Receive and file meal documents.
  • Receive and file oil truck documents.
  • Hand out meal, oil, and flour documents to customers, weigh trucks in and out.
  • Must be willing to work with fellow technicians in a professional manner.
  • During shutdowns the technician must perform special duties as assigned.
  • Work areas must be kept in a clean, orderly and safe condition

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • Knowledge of Operations and/or Business Operations

Additional Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Computer knowledge.
  • Have the ability to relate to managers, office personnel and customers.
  • Be a well organized individual.
  • Must complete annual training classes as required on Environmental, Health and Safety.
  • Must complete a thorough on the job training program
  • Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. If required, selected candidates must pass pre-employment screenings to include all or a combination of drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements and FMSCA Clearinghouse

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
