A Brief Overview

Internal Auditor II performs financial, operational, and compliance audits in accordance with the Institute of Internal Audit standards, established WellStar Health System policies and procedures, and applicable laws and regulations. The auditor is responsible for planning, drafting the audit work program, coordinating the audit, documenting current procedures, and identifying risks and controls associated with the business objectives of the area being audited. Auditor must be capable of working independently or as part of a team.

What you will do

  • Independently conduct planning, including risk assessment to determine scope and identify key risks and controls for validation. on assigned audit projects in accordance with professional standards, organizational policies and procedures, laws, and regulations. 45%

  • Perform and document testing and analysis. 30%

  • Communicate audit information such as results and conclusions. Perform issue follow-up. 15%

  • Participate in special projects. 5%

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Health Care Administration or a related field

Experience

Minimum 3 years auditing experience Required OR

Minimum 5 years healthcare experience, good understanding of the general ledger

Required Minimum Licensure(s) Certification(s)

CPA Required Within 1 year or

CIA Required Within 1 year or

CISA Required Within 1 year or

CFE Required Within 1 year or

CHIAP Required Within 1 year
