Responsibilities:

  • Layout, install, test, calibrate, inspect, maintain and repair a wide variety of complicated AC and DC electric light and power distribution circuits, apparatus, meters, instruments and control equipment.
  • Use voltmeter, ammeter, test lights and various other types of electric meters
  • Work on electric motors
  • Install and maintain supply and control wires
  • Wire and test bridge crane controls
  • Wire and test complicated overhead crane installations
  • Change voltage connections and install gauges on high tension transformers
  • Test, overhaul, maintain and repair various instruments
  • Understand and adhere to all standards operating procedures, work rules and safety procedures

Qualifications:
  • Ability to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily
  • Pass an entrance exam
  • Pass a hands-on testing program
