About this Position: 

Support new Line End Tester (LET) inspections by studying new model feature technology prior to Mass Production.  Lead activity with Design/Suppliers, confirmation testing, summarizing results, identifying root cause, lead implementation for temporary solutions and permanent countermeasures to ensure minimal line downtime and optimal vehicle quality is delivered to the customer.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Support LET new model development (LET design review/implementation, change point communication, LET programming, DTC root cause analysis, and counter measure creation/implementation)
  • LET mass production support (DTC root cause analysis, counter measure creation/implementation)
  • LET process efficiency improvement activity, LET training/support, and change point communication
  • NM Development – Review DES and E-Section Material and summarize change point and potential changepoints to factory.  Present at DES or E-Section to share new inspections wanted for ELP or PR material.
  • Associate development – Mentor NMQ LET team members and/or rotating EDP’s (Train and mentor NMQ LET team members on LET type items)

 

Who we are seeking:

 

Required Work Experience:

  • 0-6 years of experience based on education.

 

 Required Education:

  • BS Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical Engineering or related associates degree with experience; or equivalent experience

Desired skills:

  • Knowledge of the manufacturing environment & Microsoft Office
  • Possesses Engineering math skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to: read drawings/flowcharts/specifications; trouble shoot problems; multi-task and prioritize multiple projects and tasks; work in a team environment as well as independently; and present to varying audiences.
  • Can respond effectively to unusual demands and special projects.
  • Able to work with a diversity of associates without creating barriers or conflict.

Additional Position Factors:

  • Can balance multiple priorities and clearly communicate project status to management and production
  • Able to work with a diversity of associates without creating barriers or conflict
  • Willingly completes required paperwork to ensure that assignments are accurate and on time
  • 1 - 5 trips/year (4-8 weeks total) - domestic or international. May be required to travel to Japan for an extended period (2-4 weeks or more).
  • Multi-plant assignments
  • Independent, conscientious worker that can lead activity and make appropriate decisions toward problem solving
