Job Purpose
As part of the Regional Retirement Operations Team, this position is responsible to administer the day-to-day operations of the Honda 401(k) Savings Plan, Savings Equalization Plan, Pension Equalization Plan, Employee Stock Purchase Program, the Honda Student Loan Repayment Program, and the Regional Retirement Gift Program to ensure operational effectiveness, efficiency and compliance.
Key Accountabilities
- Applies advanced knowledge to ensure the necessary controls and procedures are developed and adhered to in the day-to-day aministration of the retirement programs so that they are operating in a compliant and efficient manner.
- Accountable for all timely for deliverables related to Savings Equalization Plan & Pension Equalization Plan
- Accountable for all timely deliverables related to program funding
- Accountable for data analytics related to 401(k) program compliance correction deliverables
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders within HR and Honda Business Resource Groups to determine both financial education and retirement education needs regionally. Work with external vendor partners to develop and execute the ongoing Financial and Retirement Education Strategy
- Responsible for delivery of retirement reporting, including, but not limited to, retirement projections, retirement actuals reporting, and 401(k) participating data reporting
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- 5-7 years of progressive related experience in retirement plan administration
- Advanced knowledge of ERISA Qualifed Retirement Plan Administration, Nonqualified Plan Administration, Retiree Medical plans, and Stock Purchase plans
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Advanced knowledge of Core HR and Payroll systems
- Excellent with verbal and written communications
- Intermediate conflict management skills & problem-solving skills
- The ability to work independently to resolve issues when identified
