Full-Time Painter

Kings Island is seeking a skilled and dedicated Full-Time Painter to join our maintenance team. As a Painter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the aesthetic appeal and safety of our park by performing various painting tasks on buildings, rides, and other structures.

• Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and cleaning.
• Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to various surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired results.
• Repair and touch up existing paintwork as needed.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain and clean painting tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with other maintenance team members to complete projects efficiently.

• Five years' painting experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
• Prepare surfaces by sanding, scraping, or other means to attain desired surface to apply paint, wallpaper or product specified to inside and outside surfaces of buildings, structures, rides, and other areas.
• Utilize pre coating agents, filling and leveling materials, and mix and match colors and textures.
• Read blueprints, drawings, technical specifications and material data sheets in the successful completion of assigned painting task.
• Ability to read color charts and mix paints with automated paint mixer. Must be able to follow compound specifications for mixing of paints
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
