Armed Security Specialist

Age Requirements 

Applicants must be 21 years of age or older for this position.

• Interacts with guests and associates to proactively identify suspicion indicators, assess threat potential, and engage in security interviewing to deter and prevent malicious acts. 
• Serves as a general security presence and deterrent to crime and rule infractions while assigned to a fixed post. 

• Utilizes quick decision-making skills and sound judgement to respond to and address situations beyond the capabilities of unarmed security associates. 
• Requests assistance of law enforcement as necessary. 
• Provides guest service according to Six Flags standards when serving the guests or working with fellow associates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions. 

• Must possess a current OPOTC 20-hour firearms certification and provide 2 letters of recommendation.  
• Ability to pass a BCI and FBI background check.  
• Successful completion of the OPOTC firearms course and practical exam before their first day of work

• Availability to include some weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed. 
• Ability to work at least 4 days a week.
