Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate and adjust various NC/CNC lathes and machining centers to produce parts to required tolerances
- Ensure machines are properly configured and calibrated for optimal performance
- Read and understand blueprints to produce parts within specified tolerances; able to pass blueprint test
- Ensure quality of produced parts through first-piece and subsequent inspections
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety rules regarding machine operation and proper guarding
- Maintain simple reports on productivity, quality and safety
Requirements for Maintenance Technician:
- Proficient in using micrometers and dial calipers for quality checks
- Able to frequently stand, bend, and lift up to 30lbs
- Adequate reading and writing skills to follow work orders and prepare simple production reports
- Sufficient corrected vision to read instructions, operate machines and inspect parts
- Good manual dexterity to operate equipment properly
