CNC Operator Responsibilities:
- Prepare CNC machines for operation by selecting and installing the appropriate tools and fixtures
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to program machines accurately
- Operate CNC machines to produce parts, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards
- Inspect and measure finished products using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to ensure compliance with specifications
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and any adjustments made during operations
- Work closely with engineers, machinists, and other team members to improve processes and resolve issues
Requirements for CNC Operator:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining or CNC operation preferred
- Proven experience as a CNC operator or similar role
- Familiarity with CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code)
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment
