Slitter Operator Responsibilities:
- Produces and packages products assigned in accordance with production orders, production schedules, and quality standards
- Understands instructions given by the Team Leaders or Production Manager and follows them accurately
- Reviews and understands the production order and any special instructions
- Sets up and operates equipment with supervision of the Team Leader
- Communicates with Material Handlers material requirements to meet production or packaging demands
- Verifies the quality of the products will meet or exceed the quality standards of both the customer and Jessup Manufacturing
- Calculates all material usage accurately and neatly and records on work orders
- Labels all finished product with accurate part numbers, work order numbers, lot numbers, customer information, and any other information required to efficiently process the product
- Labels unused raw material for return to warehouse
- Suggests process improvements to improve quality, efficiency, safety and communication
Requirements for Quality Inspector:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and understand production orders and verbal instructions
- Ability to neatly and accurately record data
- Ability to calculate basic math problems
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Ability to push, pull and lift up to 50lbs
