What You Will Do:

Our 2025 Campus Defense & Security Accounting and Finance Consultants help our federal clients within Defense & National Security optimize all elements of their finance management structure. Our new consultants will also build their professional and personal consulting skillsets while gaining a strong understanding of consulting within a financial capability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Accounting and budget management
  • Supporting financial reporting/financial statement preparation, tie-points and abnormal balances analysis, root cause analysis, fluctuation/trend analysis, and USSGL posting logic research
  • Audit remediation activities, such as developing/updating process documentation (e.g., narratives and flow charts), and developing/implementing corrective action plans to address findings
  • Performing and reviewing statement analysis, financial information, reporting results, and financial statement audit report analysis
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements over financial reporting tools and templates in coordination with team lead and using technology to improve financial reporting


What You Will Need:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust, Secret, or higher level of federal/government security clearance.
  • US Citizenship is required for security clearance 
  • Completing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Finance or Accounting (between fall 2024 and summer 2025) from an accredited college or university.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Interest in growing a career in government/federal/Defense and National Security consulting


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Knowledge of and experience with Federal financial management activities, including but not necessarily limited to: federal accounting, federal financial statement audits and financial risk management.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Governmental Financial Manager (CGFM) Certification
  • ACTIVE and CURRENT security clearance
