Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal or Senior Principal Liaison/MRB Engineer (2nd shift) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL. 'A shift differential may apply'. Job Summary: The Liaison/MRB Engineer will interface with multiple suppliers and stakeholder groups (such as Structural Analysis, Materials & Processing and Manufacturing personnel) in the design center and build facilities. Will be responsible for dispositioning discrepant material tags. Strong communication and collaboration skills are a must. Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution System, MES, and a Northrop Grumman MRB EN signature is a plus. The successful candidate will have experience with designing repairs for discrepant detail parts and assemblies fabricated from composite materials. This requisition may be filled as either a Principal Engineer (level 3) or Senior Principal Engineer (level 4) based on the qualifications below. Basic Qualifications: Principal Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 5+ years related professional/military experience; OR Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 3+ years of related professional/military experience. Sr. Principal Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 8+ years related professional/military experience; OR Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 6+ years of related professional/military experience. Hands-on experience in a composites manufacturing facility. Experience with military specs and standards. Experience with repair processes for composite materials used in aerospace structures. Must be willing and able to work 2nd Shift Hours: 2:30p.m - 12:00a.m EST. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Current active Secret clearance or higher. Degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering. Current NGAS MRB buyoff authority. 'EN'. Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution System (MES). Experience interfacing with a military customer.
