Northrop Grumman is seeking a dynamic, energetic individual for the position as Staff Training Team lead in support of our training team. This position will lead a team of trainers, suppliers, and work with our customers to deliver world class products. This position requires full time work onsite in Melbourne, Florida. As the Training Lead, you will oversee a dynamic cross functional team by providing Program Management leadership and direction in support of multi-million-dollar major subcontract. The role includes proven leadership, SMT experience, subcontract management, contract execution, and in-depth knowledge of the development, design, and process for training systems. This role will require collaboration with multiple organizations to include Global Supply Chain (GSC), Mission Assurance (MA), Production, Engineering, Business Management, and various support functions. As the Training Lead, you possess the following competencies: Identifies and controls subcontract management activities and processes that integrate supplier interdependencies throughout the program’s life cycle. Fosters collaboration among team members and between teams. Applies knowledge, insights, and understanding of business and/or financial concepts, tools, and processes to support decisions, actions, and performance corrections. Identifies and addresses subcontract impacts through a proactive systematic approach and promptly resolve conflicts across all levels of the subcontract. Supports and monitors a Technical Performance Baseline, to compare key subcontract technical performance measures, assess product status, and take appropriate action to maintain conformance with the baseline. The ability to understand elements of the Design, Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration and Test processes. Identify and address impacts through a systematic and proactive approach to Risk and Opportunity Management. Communicates, monitors, and promptly resolves issues across all functional elements, including the supplier. Manages and balances communications with stakeholders through organized and disciplined processes ensuring that information is defined, collected, shared, understood, stored, and retrieved in a manner that effectively meets stakeholder needs while protecting the company’s contractual rights. Effectively manages/administrates subcontracts through a broad set of skills, toolsets, processes, and government regulations. Addresses uncertainty through an organized and analytical forward-looking approach that identifies risks and opportunities, determines appropriate handling, manages, and communicates risks and opportunities throughout the life cycle of the Subcontract. Effectively plan, define, establish, communicate, monitor, and control scope to ensure that all the work required and only the work required, is performed. Establish and lead a regular rhythm with stakeholders to communicate overall technical approach and methodology for design, integration, hypothesis testing, data collection, and recommendations. Lead and present customer milestone reviews, including suppliers’ briefing, key performance requirements, architecture diagrams, solutions approach, etc. Interpret, allocate, tailor, write and/or flow down requirements to all levels of management. Provides day to day guidance to team members. Manages cost & schedule performance, experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM). Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following: Oversee and provide financial control and maintenance of budgets including EVMS metrics and Variance Explanations as a Control Account Manager. Prepares and manages schedules and prepares status reports on the health of the projects. Interprets schedules from suppliers to understand impact on program schedule and milestones. Addresses training uncertainty through an organized and analytical forward-looking approach that identifies risks and opportunities, determines appropriate handling, manages, and communicates risks and opportunities throughout the life cycle of the contract. Key leader in developing and reviewing Supplier Statements of Work (SSOWs). Review proposal responses, including performing technical evaluations, reviewing supplier Basis of Estimates (BOEs), overall proposal quality reviews, and attending proposal related reviews. Effectively plans, defines, establishes, communicates, monitors, and controls scope by establishing and controlling changes to the Baseline. Analyzes changes to balance technical, cost, schedule, quality requirements and develops alternatives that address program needs and expectations. Prepares higher level management briefings and develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and tools for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and customers. Manages labor and material dollars across multiple contracts for team and supplier EVMS weekly and monthly deliverables.
