Northrop Grumman Aeronautics has an opening for a Staff EW/RF Systems Test Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the planning, coordination, and analysis supporting development, integration, test, production, and flight test.

  • Collaborate with technical leadership on system requirements generation and associated flow down, subsystem design/analysis, and subsystem performance verification including lab and range testing.

  • Support any stage of the aircraft system life cycle activity such as developing primary designs, integrating into a system, supporting fielding of the system, supporting airworthiness activity, and supporting testing of the systems

  • Coordinate and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure robust and maintainable configurations are produced

  • Ability to determine and develop approaches to solutions within schedule and cost objectives.

  • Mission Data File Creation

  • RF generation source scenario programming

  • Simulation development and test

  • Data Analysis

  • Performance analysis

Basic Qualifications:Ā 

  • Bachelorā€™s in STEM with 14 years of relevant experience; 12 years with an MS STEM; 9 years with PhD.

  • Active in scope DoD Secret Clearance

  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret Clearance

  • Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Program Access (SAP/PAR). This SAP/PAR must be obtained prior to commencement of employment.

  • 4+ years of experience in technical leadership for RF/EW systems, focused on successfully delivering systems to customer(s)

  • 8+ years of experience in RF/EW applications, including model development/application in Matlab, Python, and/or C/C++, tracking, algorithm integration and development

  • Experience working in lab environment Ā 

  • Experience in RF, ES and/or EA applications

  • Experience in developing and implementing EW systems

Preferred Qualifications:Ā 

  • Experience engaging directly with internal and external technical and programmatic representatives

  • Demonstrated history of personnel development and successful team engagement

  • Excellent communication skills for both in-person and written content

  • Outstanding problem solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to assimilate new concepts quickly and independently

  • Interest in and track record of providing successful mentorship

  • Ability to work across multiple geographically separated campuses

  • Familiarity with RF sensing modalities

  • Active Top Secret, SCI, and/or SAP accesses

Salary Range: $142,500 - $213,700
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
