Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector has an opening for a Principal / Sr. Principal Electrical CAD (ECAD)/PLM Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Vehicle Engineering department. This position is located in Melbourne, Florida. This position can be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below. The Model-Based Engineering (MBE) Tools subject matter expert (SME) leverages prior engineering design experience to support Model-based Design (MBD), Model-based Manufacturing (MBM), and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) initiatives related to engineering tools development and Northrop Grumman Digital Transformation strategy at both the sector and enterprise levels. This candidate works independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of Engineering Tools and exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of the assignment. Key Responsibilities: Experience with designing and manufacturing of electrical wiring interconnection systems (EWIS) using ECAD software tools such as Siemens (Mentor Graphics) Capital Harness, Zuken or equivalent. Engineering ECAD tools requirement definition. Support the development and program adoption of AS Sector Digital Transformation tools and initiatives. Validation testing of ECAD/PLM tool functionality. Creation of training and best practice documentation. Provide subject matter expert (SME) user support. Develop/update sector processes for ECAD/PLM.
