We are seeking a Supervisor, Billing with experience in overseeing financial operations and ensuring accurate payment processing. You will be part of an Accounting/Finance team responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the billing functions within OPENLANE. You will be involved in training and coaching team members, handling escalated customer issues, and driving process improvements. In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your experience in customer service, team leadership, and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have relevant work experience in financial operations with a focus on billing. 

Location: Hybrid in our Carmel, IN or Mesa AZ office.

You Are:

  • Detail-oriented. You ensure accuracy in payment processing and compliance with company policies and laws.

  • Collaborative. You work with multiple departments to represent the Financial Operations team and implement improvements.

  • Analytical. You use data to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimize team performance.

You Will:

  • Act as a representative of the financial billing team in inter-departmental meetings.

  • Handle escalated customer contact by researching issues and providing solutions.

  • Train and coach the financial billing team on products, services, and process improvements.

  • Monitor queues and case flow to ensure prompt service to customers.

  • Track and evaluate team performance, using data to recommend process improvements.

  • Routinely Audit and reconcile functions performed by the financial operations team

Who You Will Work With:

Reporting to the Director of Accounting, this role will collaborate with the development, operations, and various OPENLANE business leaders on a regular basis.  Additionally, this role will work directly with our Internal and External Customers.
 

Must Have’s:

  •  Relevant work experience in financial operations, Billing/Accounts Payable, and team management.

  • 2+ years of Billing Experience 

  • Education:Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required or relevant work experience required.

  • Proficiency in Google applications and strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to troubleshoot issues, resolve conflicts, and deliver excellent customer service.

  • Strong team player attributes with the ability to multi-task and prioritize. 

Nice to Have’s:

  • Experience in process improvement and familiarity with financial software systems.

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role within financial operations.

  • SAP Billing Experience
