Dredge Operations Manager Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Dredging Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate dredging activities across multiple projects. This leadership role will be responsible for managing Dredging Superintendents, ensuring operational efficiency, compliance with industry standards, and successful project execution. The role is 75% office-based with approximately 25% travel to project sites.

Dredge Operations Manager Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for multiple dredging projects.
• Supervise and support Dredging Superintendents, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, safely, and within budget.
• Develop and implement operational plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies to optimize project performance.
• Monitor project progress, troubleshoot issues, and provide solutions to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to align dredging operations with overall company objectives.
• Maintain strong client relationships and act as the primary point of contact for dredging operations.
• Review and approve project reports, budgets, and operational documentation.
• Conduct site visits (25%) to assess project conditions, provide guidance, and ensure quality control.

Dredge Operations Manager Position Requirements

• Extensive experience in dredging operations and/or project management within the dredging industry.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams across different locations.
• Experience working with large clients in the dredging industry.
• Strong knowledge of dredging equipment, techniques, and industry regulations.
• Ability to analyze project performance metrics and implement improvements.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel (approximately 25% travel required).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.

Dredge Operations Manager Preferred Requirements

• Prior experience as a Project Manager within the dredging or marine construction industry.
• Experience working with environmental agencies and regulatory bodies.
• Familiarity with surveying techniques and hydrographic data.
• Degree preferred but not required—equivalent experience in dredging operations for major clients will be considered.
