About The Position
A large hospital is seeking a radiation oncologist for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in southern Wisconsin.
This is an outpatient practice with a MondayFriday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. On-treatment visits (OTVs) are conducted on Thursdays, while follow-ups and new consults are scheduled based on provider preference. Tumor board meetings occur three times a month on Tuesday mornings, with a lung conference once a month on Wednesday mornings and CQIC meetings on Thursdays at noon. Call responsibilities are covered by residents on weekends, while the radiation oncologist handles clinic hours MondayFriday and evening call MondayThursday. The average weekly caseload includes eight new consults, 20 on-treatment patients per day, and 30-40 follow-ups shared between the NP and provider. Hospital privileges are required at two sites.
