The Staff Pad has partnered with Blue Ridge Medical Center in Blue Ridge, Georgia. We are looking for an Environmental Services Worker to join their team. The Environmental Services Worker is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within the hospital. This role plays a crucial part in infection control and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for patients, visitors, and staff.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform cleaning and disinfecting tasks in patient rooms, restrooms, waiting areas, and other hospital facilities.

- Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment safely and effectively.

- Follow established protocols for infection prevention and control.

- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures regarding cleanliness and safety.

- Dispose of waste and hazardous materials according to regulations.

- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisors of shortages.

- Assist in the setup and breakdown of areas for special events or hospital functions.

- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.

- Participate in ongoing training and adhere to all safety guidelines.

 

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

- Previous experience in a healthcare or cleaning environment is a plus.

- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and infection control practices.

- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and machinery.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, and bending.
