Armament Systems specializes in the development and production of Ammunition, Guns and Precision Guidance Ordinance. Position Summary: Mastercam programming, Creo design, feeds and speeds, material choices, tooling choices, tool ordering, tooling geometry Conduct machining on several different types of equipment, CNC Turning centers, CNC machining centers, Manuel turning, Bridgeport machining and wire EDM. Working directly with Engineers and Programs to machine per the directed schedule. Responsible for quality of the product by performing both in-process and final part inspections Care and maintenance of the equipment Assuring tooling and materials readiness Maintaining a clean and safe work environment Provide all aspects of CNC equipment setup, operations, and maintenance Strong interpersonal communication skills with ability to work with others at all levels of the organization Strong attention to detail and accuracy Initiative, self-starter, adaptable, and high motivation for excellence High energy, results oriented, self-motivated / self-reliant, team player Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma Ability to read and understand engineering drawings Ability to navigate and use CAD software Demonstrated both written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of machining processes/methodology Ability to create process documentation US Citizenship required Ability to review engineering drawings and provide time estimates for fabrication Able to work in a standing position for extended time periods Able to lift or move a minimum of 35 -50 lbs. for up to 12 hours per day; pushing or pulling 35 -50+ lbs. occasionally throughout the work day Excellent communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of use and capabilities of various machine shop equipment Working knowledge of CREO and Mastercam Demonstrated application of root cause / corrective action HAAS CNC/Turning center preferred, HAAS UMC-750SS, VM2, SL-30 and ST-20Y Manual Turning, Bridgeport Machining and wire EDM experience A minimum of a 2 year technical degree and/or a certificate in machine shop technology 3 Axis CNC machines, 4 and 5 Axis a plus Ability to read and interpret blue prints Expert in GD&T Experience manufacturing complex tolerance machined hardware in various exotic materials, from Titanium, Inconel, AerMet, Tungsten, Stainless, Aluminum, etc. Knowledge of metallurgy, Heat Treat processes, coating processes Mechanical assembly experience, rework experience, troubleshooting
