Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an open opportunity for a Configuration and Data Management Engineering Manager to join our team supporting our Plymouth, Minnesota location. This role will manage of the Armament Systems Configuration and Data Management Team that focuses on providing tools, processes and subject matter expertise for configuration and data management activities across our programs, suppliers, and partners for all engineering programs. Analysts are key program drivers managing product configuration baselines (Functional, Allocated and Product) and releases through Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, JIRA, Bitbucket, SharePoint, and system modeling tools. The Configuration and Data Management function is at the forefront of program strategy creating, updating, and maintaining program Configuration Management / Data Management Plans and coaching/managing programmatic alignment to Configuration Management / Data Management Plans across various program or project Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). Hence the System Design organization seeks a manager that will coach, mentor, and empower staff members in their role. Team members will be responsible for performing program audits and leading various Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings in coordination with internal and external customers – supporting the process of Change Notices (CN’s), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Requests for Variance (RFVs) for the program. They will be at the forefront positioning their team members to be the program advocates and drivers supporting the generation, release, and delivery of Contract/Supplier Data Requirements Listings (CDRLs/SDRLs) to our customers helping to ensure that the delivered items meet contractual requirements. The manager will have the responsible to review and approve Configuration Management / Data Management Plans across all business programs.
