Position Purpose

 

The Consumer Insights Research Manager will design, execute, and report out voice of the customer research to provide direction to business partners across the organization.  Our team style is collaborative, creative, agile, flexible and comfortable with ambiguity.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and execution of custom research studies that will uncover insights to address the information needs of our business partners across the company
  • Collaborate and consult with business partners and internal stakeholders to ensure the appropriate research is identified and prioritized. Develops, manages and executes customized research plans. Presents research findings, implications and strategic recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Manage all ad hoc and DIY research, including writing, programming (i.e., Qualtrics) and testing surveys, data collection execution, data analysis and reporting of insights and recommendations.
  • Consolidate survey findings (analyze, interpret, summarize) across projects and identifying insights to build a comprehensive understanding of the consumer & market landscape.
  • Uncover insights that have direct impact on forming the marketing strategy and the business.
  • Vendor management of our external research partners for timely and cost-effective completion of research plans.
  • Execute RFPs and negotiates with vendors to drive optimized cost/value.
  • Responsible for all contract management for the consumer insights team, internally and with vendors.

 

Position Requirements

 

  • 6-8 years of work experience, at a market research supplier and/or client-side Consumer Insights function
  • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative methodologies, including survey design.
  • Must have experience using Qualtrics for survey programming and data collection.
  • Bachelor’s degree in research related field (Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, etc)

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

 

  • Detail oriented, organized, self-starter and self-learner.
  • Deadline driven, ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently and on a team
  • Exceptional listening, analytical skills, written communications and presenting skills.
  • Ability to identify key insights out of large amounts of disparate data, and turn into actions
  • Innate curiosity for consumer behavior
  • Highly proficient with MS Office suite
  • Experience with Qualtrics
  • Familiarity with SPSS, SaS, or R a plus, but not required

 

Working Conditions

 

  • Office environment (i.e. sitting, computer and telephone use)
  • Available for occasional travel (less than 20%)
  • This position is based out of our headquarters in Minneapolis, MN in a hybrid environment of 3 days in office per week
