About The Position

We are seeking a skilled OB/GYN Physician for a 20-day locum tenens assignment at a hospital in Minnesota. This opportunity requires coverage for two separate periods: May 16-20, 2025, and October 16-20, 2025. The assignment involves 24-hour call shifts from 7 AM to 7 AM, with clinic hours from 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday. Night and weekend call is also required. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with D&C procedures, C-sections, tubal ligations, and general clinic duties. This assignment offers the potential for extension and provides an excellent opportunity for a qualified OB/GYN to contribute their expertise in a hospital setting.

Start Dates: May 16, 2025 (7 AM) and October 16, 2025 (7 AM) 

LOA: 20 days (two 5-day periods with potential for extension) 

Provider Type Needed: OB/GYN Physician 

Schedule: 24-hour call (7 AM - 7 AM), Clinic hours 8 AM - 4 PM (Mon-Fri), night & weekend call

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide 24-hour on-call coverage for obstetric and gynecological emergencies 
• Perform D&C procedures, C-sections, and tubal ligations as needed 
• Conduct clinic appointments and consultations during regular hours 
• Manage labor and delivery cases 
• Provide comprehensive prenatal and postnatal care 
• Diagnose and treat various gynecological conditions 
• Perform gynecological surgeries when necessary 
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records 
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals 
• Adhere to all hospital protocols and safety standards

Additional Information: 

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in Minnesota 
• Experience in hospital-based OB/GYN care is required 
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
• Flexibility to work night and weekend call shifts
