You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Set monthly Reserves for a variety of Medicare products (Medical, Dental, Part-D Rx, Med Supp)
  • Assist and support Appointed Actuaries in preparation of Actuarial Opinion Memorandums
  • Research claim trends
  • Plan and execute on process improvements
  • Participate in the Actuarial Leadership Development Program

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Near ASA or ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) designation
  • 2+ years of Actuarial experience
  • Advanced or higher level of proficiency with Excel

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with actuarial reserving
  • Knowledge of Medicare and Medicare Advantage
  • Basic or higher level of proficiency with SQL, SAS, VBA and / or R

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with al minimum wage laws as applicable.
