This is a TPD (0.2 Status), day shift Registered Nurse position in the Medical Oncology department.

The RN utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of acute patients from admission to the department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in the chemotherapy/infusion setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel. The RN is knowledgeable in all areas of oncologic nursing with expertise in delivery of chemotherapeutic and biologic agents.

Minimum Required:  RN License required. Oncology experience required. Must have two years of experience within the last three years. BLS for Healthcare Provider within 3 months of hire. Proficient in English, verbal and written communication skills, and computer skills required.

Preferred/Desired:  BSN Preferred. Prefer Oncology Certification (OCN). Cerner experience preferred.

Weekend Requirements:  No.
