About this role

The Onboarding Coordinator serves as a liaison between Modis employees, client pay rolled employees, 1099 and sub contractors, the organization and the client. Coordinates the onboarding process while providing high-level customer service and meeting service level agreements.

What you’ll be doing
  • Coordinates the onboarding process for employees, client pay rolled employees 1099 and subvendors including, but not limited to, welcome call, welcome email, ordering pre-screening requirements and submission to back office systems if required.
  • Distributes and collects onboarding paperwork and acts as a point of reference for related questions.
  • Supports clients contractual compliance by ensuring employees, client pay rolled employees, 1099 contractors and subvendors submit correct and complete documentation.
  • Ensures employees, client pay rolled employees, 1099 contractors and subcontractors meet job requirements, including, but not limited to, background, education, employment checks and insurance requirements.
  • Supports and gathers all documentation for client audits.
  • Provide operational and administrative support during new client implementations.
  • Partners with Account Managers on any escalations to provide the best customer support for employees and/or clients.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years of human resources/customer service experience. Bachelor’s degree is highly desirable.

  • Skilled in communicating effectively verbally and in writing with multiple levels of employees, client pay rolled employees, 1099 contractors, sub contractors and management.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to focus on client needs with a commitment to quality, customer service and service level agreements.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

This position is nonexempt and will be paid on an hourly basis. The salary range below has been annualized based on a 40-hour workweek.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $68,640 - $68,640. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, key skills, and geographic location.

Benefit offerings for full-time employment include medical, dental, vision, term life and AD&D insurance, short-term and long-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits, wellness plans, and a 401k plan or a non-qualified deferred compensation plan. Available paid leave includes Personal Time Off (PTO) on an accrual basis up to 152 hours a year, 10 Paid Holidays, 1 Community Service Day, and up to 6 weeks of Paid Parental Leave. PTO and holiday hours are prorated based on hire date within the calendar year.
