Responsibilities

  • Food preparation for both patient dining & retail service: Safely and efficiently prepare hot & cold food while following regulatory standards & following all food safety requirements.
  •  
  • Must have or be willing to obtain food handles card for Riverside County.  Sersafe certification preferred.
     
  • Understand & populate all regulatory logs: Tracking food temperatures & time temperature control requirements. Monitor equipment including, but not limited to refrigerators, stove, ovens, etc.
     
  • Food safety standards: Follow standards to ensure food is safely prepared. Ensure food cool down procedures are followed. Understand food safety regarding cross contamination.
     
  • Recipes: Be able to read & execute standardized recipes. Must be able to read & speak English
     
  • Stocking and Inventory Control: Regularly check and restock food and beverage supplies in storage areas and kitchenettes, maintaining adequate inventory levels to meet patient needs.
     
  • Safety & sanitation: Understand safe cleaning & sanitation requirements for food preparation & station sanitation.
     
  • Dishwashing: Operate dishwashing equipment and maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized.
     
  • Cleaning and Sanitization: Assist in maintaining cleanliness throughout the department.

 

Qualifications

  • 2 Years of cook experience
  • Valid Government issued identification 

Preferred Qualifications

  •  Hospital setting 
  •  Skilled Nursing
