Key Responsibilities:

Exemplary Practice and Outcomes:

  • Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation) using evidence-based practices.

  • Provide patient-centered care tailored to specific population characteristics (e.g., age, gender, disease) while respecting cultural diversity.

  • Engage with patients and their significant others using effective communication methods, ensuring their goals are central to the care plan.

  • Adhere to current clinical practice standards.

Teamwork and Collaboration:

  • Coordinate and document safe, quality patient care, fostering interdisciplinary communication and a respectful work environment.

  • Demonstrate teamwork by being fiscally responsible and supporting the recruitment and retention of healthcare team members.

  • Participate in performance improvement activities, research, and shared governance to enhance patient care.

Professional Development and Initiative:

  • Complete all required competency assessments, mandatory education, and population-specific training.

  • Serve as a preceptor or mentor for nursing staff and students, promoting professional practice and a healthy work environment.

Evidence-Based Practice and Research:

  • Promote evidence-based practices and nursing research, including participation in value analysis and decision-making for patient care products.

  • Adhere to healthcare system policies, legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.

  • Engage in data collection and research to address clinical practice questions.

Resources and Support:

  • Plan patient care across the continuum and participate in protocol and procedure development.

  • Support the efficient use of human and material resources to achieve best practice outcomes.

Required Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited nursing program.

  • Bachelor鈥檚 Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing preferred.

Required Licensure and Certification:

  • RN (Single State) or RN - Multi-State Compact.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Instructor.

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Instructor or ACLS - Provisional.

Additional Certification (Preferred):

  • National certification in specialty area upon hire.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of current experience in the specific area of practice.

  • Computer/data entry experience required; Epic and 3M experience preferred.

Required Skills:

  • Effective communication with healthcare team members.

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and basic computer operations.

  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills.

  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies calmly and respectfully.

  • Excellent time management, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
