  • USPI Great Lakes Surgical Suites is looking for a Certified Surgical Technologist to work in a fast-paced ASC environment with no call, weekends, or holidays required.
  • The position involves scrubbing for surgical procedures, preparing and maintaining supplies, and supporting quality improvement activities under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.
  • Candidates must have a high school diploma, completion of a Surgical Tech program, and current IN Nursing License and BLS certification.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience is preferred, especially in orthopedic/total joint procedures and previous work in an ambulatory surgical center.

USPI Great Lakes Surgical Suites, is seeking a motivated Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team. Great Lakes Surgical Suites is a fast paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families. 

 

  • M-F, daytime hours
  • No call/weekends/holidays

 

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Prepares and maintains supplies, instruments and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Completion of Surgical Tech program; CST preferred 
  • Current IN Nursing License
  • Current BLS
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience preferred
  • Orthopedic/Total Joint experience preferred
  • Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
  • Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
  • Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians
