Join Ecolab as a Logistics Analyst – Order Resolution supporting the Nalco Water divisions in Naperville, IL. The individual in this role is responsible for managing the exception function of order planning to ensure proper communication between plants/warehouses, Supply Planning and Sales. The position will use various tools such as SAP reports, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, CRM Dynamics and rush order queue to review and follow up on order exceptions and communicate status to appropriate personnel. The person in this role will act as a sales and customer advocate by providing an escalation path for critical and ongoing issues for both internal and dropship Supply Chain network. The successful candidate must be a self-directed achiever, detail-oriented, problem solving and have strong communication skills.

What you will do:

  • Resolve mismatches between the confirmed system date (ATP) and the customer requested date to coordinate on-time deliveries or proactive communication to internal customers through daily reports

  • Support late order communication and order changes through a daily review of the revised ship date and open order reports

  • Advocate for sales and customers by assisting in monitoring and communication of critical orders including 3rd party drop ships.

  • Leverage data analytical tools to improve processes and metrics related to order escalation tools and other team KPIs

  • Partner with Manufacturing, Logistics, Vendors, Sales, Planning and Customer Service to execute on meeting customer expectations

  • Collaborate with Supply Planning and Marketing in assistance of critical orders/materials

  • Build relationships with plants, warehouse, third party suppliers and internal teams to improve communication and service

  • Drive solutions by bringing the right people together to address recurring issues that impact service to our customers

  • Collect, analyze, and present data to highlight and provide visibility to ongoing challenges that impact service

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify existing service/communication gaps and suggest process improvements

  • Manage the Customer-to-Customer transfer process by working with the carriers, customers and field sales to ensure timely delivery

  • Manage the CDS transfer process by working with the field, plants and Delivery Systems to facilitate transfer service of Porta-feeds dropped off at customer locations

  • Positively contribute to S&OP process goals around safety, service and cost

  • Support ongoing and new business initiatives including quarterly sales pulls

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist Plant Planners with any system and/or coding issues

  • Error reporting and resolution

  • Work with Scheduler and Marketing on orders placed with deactivated materials

  • Work with Shipping to move orders that default incorrectly for transfer service

  • Clarify BOL & Plant instructions for Shipping

  • Ensure shipping requirements and special handling for freeze season FP40 and FP50 products are met

  • Approve new base tank orders

  • Enter product setup forms

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum 3 years of related experience required

  • Experience with Excel and Word

  • Immigration sponsorship NOT available for this role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics, Transportation or related field.

  • Position requires a high-level proficiency with MS Office, primarily Excel and Word and familiarity with SharePoint and Power BI

  • Strong business acumen and experience with the divisions, supply chain, and customers

  • 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain and/or operations

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • SAP experience

  • Strong communication skills in both written and verbal

  • Self-motivated

  • Experience with MS Office Suite

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The pay range for this position is $64,000.00 - $96,000.00. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
