The primary purpose of this position is to lead R&E activities for Pull-Ups IMF programs. This role will work in conjunction with the R&E BCC Product Team Members, Marketing and Sales Teams, Engineering and Technology Teams, Insights and Analytics, Marketing S&I, Project Teams, Manufacturing facilities and the BCC cross-functional organization.  The candidate reports to an R&E Manager and receives work direction from the Manager, R&E Technical Leader, and cross-functional organization, though this role is largely self-directed.  This role will give work direction, coaching, and mentoring to 3-10 indirect team members.

 

In this role you will:

  • Project lead for Goodnites IMF programs. Lead cross-functional R&E team to deliver upon project goals. Create timeline with key milestones, drive adherence to the timeline, escalate as appropriate, identify and drive key learning. With help cross-functionally, deliver programs with strong business cases through IMF.
  • Works closely with the Marketing, Sales, and Finance teams amongst others to achieve project goals. Significant influence without authority required.
  • Provide work direction, coach, and mentor members of the cross-functional R&E team.
  • Protect and defend Kimberly-Clark proprietary product and technology through the appropriate use of patents and trade secrets.
  • Document key learnings and significant research findings in a searchable, retrievable format and coach junior team members in their documentation practices
  • Ensure all work complies with corporate safety, regulatory, product safety and sustainability requirements. 
  • Interface effectively with the other work stream teams to ensure business success.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant scientific discipline with 7+ years of experience
  • Broad experiences in product development and/or project management, process development or material development
  • Experience in executing consumer or technical / scientific studies.
  • Proven track record of effectively communicating to and influencing leaders and team members across all levels of the R&E and cross-functional organization.
  • Ability to provide work direction to team members not in a direct reporting relationship
  • 5-15% Travel

Preferred:

  • Experience in project/product development, particularly D&C and LCM
  • Experience leading projects and/or capital projects
  • Work experience across a range of Research & Engineering disciplines
  • Strong understanding of BCC products, brands, business, and technologies.
  • Strong mentoring skills
