Shift: 2nd Shift: 1pm - 10pm or 2pm - 11pm Monday through Friday
Duration: 04 Month’s Contract
Pay Range $28.00 to $32.00/hr.

We are looking for a “Building Engineer” to join one of our Fortune 500 clients.

Job Summary
The Building Engineer will use advanced skills to perform complex preventive maintenance, repairs, and corrective measures for buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds. Working under limited supervision, the role includes monitoring building systems, ensuring their optimal performance, and applying skills across multiple trades including HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and safety protocols related to building operations.
  • Inspect critical building systems (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) to ensure equipment operates within its design capabilities and meets environmental standards.
  • Oversee and inspect the work of external contractors (e.g., landscaping, snow removal, HVAC, plumbing, cleaning).
  • Perform scheduled and emergency repairs, preventive maintenance, and maintain repair records.
  • Review work orders, estimate time and materials required, and order necessary supplies to complete tasks.
  • Manage energy systems efficiently to minimize operating costs and ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain building lighting systems by performing necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Perform a range of general maintenance tasks including welding, carpentry, furniture assembly, and locksmith duties.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of four years of related experience or trade school training.
  • Certification: Universal CFC certification is preferred.
  • Ability to understand instructions, memos, and ask clarifying questions for clarity.
  • Basic knowledge of financial terms and principles.
  • Proficiency with work order systems, email, and Microsoft Office Outlook.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, and lift/carry heavy loads (50 lbs. or more).
  • Responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others affected by the work
