This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work an 8-hour shift normal business hours of 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work weekends. Our office is located at 156 William St, New York, NY 10038.

We offer 1 weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM from Monday - Friday.

  

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check in patients.
  • Collect insurance information. 
  • Making outbound calls to members to schedule follow up and Diagnostic appointments.
  • Update patient information in EHR system. 
  • Coordinate and monitoring members within the clinic.
  • Take meeting notes for staff meetings and send out agenda.   
  • Updating inventory of supplies within clinic as needed.   
  • Maintain clean and organized lobby area.
  • Support Supervisor with any needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older 
  • 1+ years of Receptionist experience
  • 1+ years of one - on - one patient facing experience
  • 6+ months of experience in a clinical environment
  • Experience using Microsoft Word (edit, create & save documents), Microsoft Excel (editing spreadsheets), and Microsoft Outlook (email, Teams)
  • Ability to work an on - site position and reside within a commutable distance to the office: 156 William St, New York, NY 10038
  • Ability to work an 8-hour shift normal business hours of 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work weekends

 

Soft Skills:

  • Written and verbal communication, telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence and negotiate through use of verbal, written, and interpersonal means with a diverse group of people / disciplines at all levels of an organization
  • Organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills

 

The hourly range for this role is $16.88 to $33.22 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
