Our client is seeking an Accounting Technical Manager to join their team. As an Accounting Technical Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Division Controller in directing the accounting functions of the division office. The ideal candidate will have strong communication (oral and written) and analytical skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Newnan, Georgia
Pay Range: $115,000 - $120,000
What’s the Job?
- Manage division accounting monthly closing processes, resulting in timely and accurate financial reports for both internal and external users.
- Analyze financial data ensuring financial records are maintained in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Research accounting issues and in collaboration with Division Controller and Sox Director, recommend appropriate accounting treatment. Support the Division Controller in establishing, implementing, and monitoring accounting policies.
- Support Sox compliance by properly performing assigned Sox controls. Provide additional Sox compliance support to other members of the division as assigned.
- Assist with the coordination of the development, design and implementation of consistent global accounting and finance requirements at the Division Office with a focus on controls and procedures, process efficiencies, and system enhancements.
- Maintain knowledge of business operations in order to understand the impact of business events on external reporting requirements.
What’s Needed?
-  Bachelor’s degree in accounting with extensive accounting experience with multi-entity manufacturing organizations.
- CPA a plus, Master’s degree a plus.
- 7+ years of accounting/financial reporting experience required, including advanced knowledge of GAAP in a multi-entity environment and previous experience in SOX compliance activities.
- Advanced level proficiency with Excel, Word, and accounting-related software; specific experience with JD Edwards and Oracle a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial systems and interaction between financial and other systems.
