Job Title: Project Consultant - Grant Administration

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Consultant to assist with the administration of an awarded grant in a rural area. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in grant administration, and a strong background in large deployment projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grant Administration:
- Manage all aspects of grant administration, ensuring compliance with the State requirements.
- Prepare and submit all necessary documentation and reports as required by the grant contract.
- Monitor grant expenditures and ensure they align with the approved budget.
- Project Management:
- Oversee the implementation of the middle mile broadband project, ensuring timely completion within the specified term.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and risk management plans.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare periodic progress reports and a final report detailing project outcomes, successes, and challenges.
- Maintain accurate records of all project activities, expenditures, and communications.
- Ensure all project documentation is in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Compliance and Auditing:
- Ensure all project activities comply with federal, state, and local laws, including the Capital Projects Funds (American Rescue Plan) Statement of Assurances.
- Prepare for and facilitate audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications with key stakeholders.
- Facilitate regular meetings and updates with project stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Project Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in grant administration, with a focus on state and federal grants.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale broadband deployment projects.
- Experience with grant reporting requirements
- Skills:
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Highly organized and able to manage complex projects.
- Proactive and able to anticipate project needs and potential issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
