The Staff Pad has partnered with a community health center outside of Tucson, Arizona. We are seeking a Behavioral Health Therapist to join our client's organization that has been recognized as a "National Quality Leader" by the US Department of Health and Human Services. As a Behavioral Health Therapist, you will participate in the planning and implementation of new integrated behavioral health programs, serving as a clinician and part of the behavioral health team. The Therapist will work collaboratively to provide outpatient counseling and implement behavioral health protocols for target populations.Ā

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with planning and implementation of new integrated behavioral health servicesĀ as member ofĀ the planning team,Ā includingĀ developingĀ protocols for target populations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ā Work with a multidisciplinary care team, including primary care provider, psychiatrist,Ā and psychiatric nurse practitioner,Ā toĀ treatĀ and manage patients efficiently and effectively, ensure qualityĀ care, andĀ promote and restoreĀ patientsā€™ physical and mental health.
  • Practice within the scopeĀ and best practicesĀ ofĀ outpatient counseling, as outlined byĀ relevant professional organizationĀ and APA guidelines for ethical practices.
  • PerformĀ assessments,Ā counseling services,Ā progress notes, annual updates, family interventions, patient education, and progress towards treatment goalsĀ in alignment with patientā€™s treatment plan, in individual, group, and/or family setting.
  • Works effectively with clients, families, and care team to evaluate care plan, discharge planning, aftercare planning within a recovery model of care.
  • Complete duties associated withĀ clinicalĀ practice, including required forms and documentation.
  • Attend to crises as requested, including assessing crisis, ensuring incidents are documented, and appropriate action is taken.
  • EducateĀ patients, families, andĀ aboutĀ staff care, prevention, and treatmentĀ enhancement techniques.
  • Assist in the detection of ā€œat riskā€ patients and development plans to prevent further psychological or physical deterioration.
  • Participate according to the recovery model and Arnold v.Ā SarnĀ principles.Ā Assist patients with defining and achieving their own recovery goals.
  • Monitor the behavioral health program, identifying potential barriers to quality care,Ā problems related to patient services, and opportunities for improvement. Make recommendations for improvementĀ and address them with team members.
  • Participate inĀ committees,Ā staff meetings,Ā and any meeting as requested byĀ supervisor.
  • Establish productive relationships with other behavioral health agencies.
  • Maintain appropriate knowledge,Ā skills,Ā Continuing Education,Ā andĀ licensuresĀ for this position.
  • Respond to patient or co-worker complaints and work toward a positive resolution of any dispute.
  • Work under MCHC Polices and professional requirements.
  • Works with MCHC Population Health programs to ensure compliance and adherence to quality measures.
  • Maintain physical andĀ mental health.
  • ParticipateĀ in,Ā train,Ā and utilize tele-health services in the evaluation,Ā management,Ā and treatment of patients, as appropriate.


Requirements



Educational Requirements:
  • Masterā€™s or higher in behavioral health field, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related.
Experience:Ā 
  • At least three to five years' experience in an outpatient clinical setting.Ā 
Certification/Licensures:
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish REQUIRED
  • Current Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiner license as Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Psychologist
  • Training in Evidence Based Practices, CBT, DBT, or other preferred.Ā 
  • CPR certification required.
  • Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance as a condition of the first day of employment.Ā
