Eng. with a strong background in C++ and experience in technical leadership. The successful candidate will make significant contributions both as a technical contributor and in technical leadership to integrating our high-fidelity missile simulations into various simulation environments. The candidate will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of engineers on projects involving all aspects of modeling, simulation, and analysis, but the initial focus is on software engineering. The candidate must be able to make significant contributions to the team with a short ramp-up time. Basic Qualifications for a Staff, Embedded Software / Systems Modeling Sim. Engineer- (Level 05): BS degree in an engineering discipline; preferably in an Electrical/Electronic Engineering field with 12 years of experience or a MS with 10 years of experience. Previous experience, and proficiency in developing medium to large C++ cross platform desktop applications. Thorough understanding of compilers, linkers and OS, Windows/Linux. Knowledgeable in object-oriented design principles, with experience using multiple software design patterns. Enterprise Design Patterns, with an understanding of messaging and pipelines. Experience in distributed systems. Specific, and successful experience in technical leadership. Examples might include software/technical lead, product owner, integrated product team lead, etc. Clear, effective communicator. Demonstrated ability to find innovative solutions to difficult technical problems. Preferred Qualifications: Comfortable using GIT as a configuration management system. Familiar with make files or CMAKE. Familiar with Distributed Simulation Systems protocols such as DIS or HLA. Background in statistics, including the application of statistical distributions, tests and theorems (hypothesis testing, goodness of fit, etc). General mathematical background in linear algebra and differential equations. Experience with MATLAB/Simulink/Python. Experience in developing algorithms. Particular experience with control theory or tracking algorithms would be a plus. Experience in estimating/planning budget and schedule, and in tracking to that plan. Specific experience in doing so via an agile paradigm is strongly preferred. Experience with SysML, preferably with CAMEO. Weapons Modeling and Simulation experience is a plus. 6DOF/ flyout models. Flight dynamics experience with other DoD simulation frameworks such as AFSIM and plugin development AJEM or other lethality modeling tools.
