The Neuropsychologist (Testing) position is in an outpatient clinical setting where you will interact directly with a wide variety of clients serving the needs of our diverse patient population.  You will quickly build rapport with patients and coordinate care with internal and external providers by forming excellent provider-patient alliances. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological assessments and interpret results
  • Write progress notes and comprehensive reports according to policy
  • Conducting individual and/or group therapy is optional, and if conducted it will be comparatively minimal to assessment work
  • Provide evidence based, multicultural care that is informed by your client/patient’s community, culture, and personal values
  • Communicate effectively and consistently with clients/patients, other providers, and the admin team via Teams, email, and in meetings

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in Psychology. Coursework should show a focus on neuropsychology and assessment
  • One year of doctoral internship in neuropsychology
  • Active and unrestricted (PhD, PsyD) license in the state of California
  • Minimum of 1500 hours of post-doctoral training in neuropsychology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preference for neuropsychologists specializing in inattention, children, and adolescents
  • Preferred-American Board Professional Psychology/ American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology Certified
  • Experience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation - Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS (or other EHRs)
  • Knowledge and experience in providing neuropsychological, CBT, and other evidence-based interventions
  • Proven comfortable working with a wide range of clinical presentations

California Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
