Our client, a leader in manufacturing composites essential to innovative transportation and construction solutions, is seeking a Plastics Engineer to join their team. As a Plastics Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic engineering department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a creative problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully with the organization's goals.

Job Title: Plastics Engineer

Location: Oklahoma City, OK

Pay Range: $80,000 - $100,000

What's the Job?

  • Develop and document processes, tooling, and new product development for thermoformed products.
  • Optimize productivity, reduce cycle time, improve quality, and minimize scrap through continual process improvement.
  • Initiate and assist with capital improvement projects aimed at enhancing plant capabilities through new equipment purchases and facility modifications.
  • Develop and monitor training plans to ensure personnel are well-versed in new process requirements.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address their needs and enhance operational efficiency.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Plastics, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or a similar engineering field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with Solidworks and AutoCad is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles, including 5S, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and problem resolution.
