Resident Manager Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Must be a committed individual whose values align with the mission and faith statement of the religious organization.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of personal information related to residents, staff, and board members.
  • Purchase and prepare meals, ensuring access to healthy food options, while involving residents in meal preparation and cleanup.
  • Provide transportation for residents, including work, church, medical appointments, and social activities, or arrange alternate transport.
  • Maintain the property, involving residents in household and lawn maintenance to foster a sense of pride in their home.
  • Collaborate with church and community agencies to provide social, spiritual, and educational activities.
  • Assist residents in reaching their full potential through personalized plans for spiritual, social, and independent living skills.
  • Oversee the physical care of residents, including diet, hygiene, medication management, and medical needs.
  • Ensure the home complies with state licensure requirements (DHS 88) and contract agreements, including first aid and safety protocols.
  • Maintain communication with the OHCM Board, case managers, and resident guardians, providing updates as necessary.
  • Participate in training and in-services as required by the State and the Board.


Resident Manger Requirements:
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to guide staff and volunteers, as well as manage household responsibilities.
  • Experience or ability to engage in public relations and community outreach activities.
  • Awareness of the unique needs and rights of adults with disabilities, including advocating for their spiritual and personal growth.
  • Prior experience in caregiving, social work, or a related field is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to provide or arrange resident transportation.
  • Ability to be on-call 24/7, except during scheduled time off.
  • Capable of following the policies and guidelines set by the OHCM Board.
  • Must pass a required health screening, including a TB test, to meet safety and regulatory standards.

Terms of Compensation Benefits Summary:
  • Room and Board: Living accommodations and utilities provided for the manager and immediate family, plus a $100 monthly stipend.
  • Vacation Time: 1 day per month, increasing to 2 weeks after the first full calendar year.
  • Holiday Time: 1 summer and 1 winter holiday off, with other holidays worked.
  • Illness and Relief Time: Coverage provided during illness; flexible relief time included.
  • Vehicle: A vehicle is provided for use, including for relief staff.
  • Pay Schedule: Salaried position with pay on the 1st and 15th of each month via direct deposit.
