As a Licensed Clinician, you will treat a wide variety of mental health conditions that reflect the needs of our diverse patient population. You will provide patients with behavioral and mental health treatments, including individual and group therapy, medication management, and intensive outpatient programs.

Sherman Counseling is one of Wisconsin's leading counseling centers. Our experienced team of professionals offers a wide variety of comprehensive outpatient resources including cognitive behavioral therapy, marriage and family counseling, Brainspotting therapy, psychotherapy, group therapy; and individual counseling for children, teens, adults and seniors.

This is a 1.0 FTE position (26 clients / 40 hours per week) that offers the ability to flex your schedule to meet your needs and the needs of the client. The position is based out of our office at 222 Ohio St. in Oshkosh, WI. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of this location. Opportunities to occasionally work from home doing telehealth sessions may be considered. This is a salaried position with quarterly bonus potential. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Form excellent provider-patient alliances and coordinate care with external providers
  • Conduct outpatient psychiatric evaluations and provide ongoing medication management
  • Participate in enriching the training experience of our graduate students
  • Screen and assess patients for common mental health and substance abuse disorders
  • Provide treatment for a variety of mental health conditions using treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and other evidence-based methods 
  • Systematically track treatment response and monitor patients for changes in clinical symptoms and treatment side effects or complications
  • Represent the practice in community presentations and lectures
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (Athena) and clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy 
  • Active, unrestricted LCSW license in the state of Wisconsin
  • Willing and able to work on site at 222 Ohio St. in Oshkosh, WI
  • Eligible to enroll as a Medicare provider or cancel opt-out (if applicable) prior to starting a new position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of professional social work experience, post Master's degree
  • Experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families 
  • Experience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation - Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS or other Electronic Health Record system (EHR)
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with equal effectiveness

The salary range for this role is $59,500 to $116,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
