An organization within Northrop Grumman’s Payload and Ground Systems (PGS) division, Mission Enabling Products is a leading designer, producer, and supplier of spacecraft components that power and enable satellites of all classes. Products include spacecraft panels, bus structures, precision optical structures, deployable structural systems and mechanisms, solar arrays, and antenna reflectors. Our products are on virtually every U.S. satellite built in the last 20 years. We are seeking a Test Engineer Technician for our Deployables Operating Unit located in our Oxnard, CA facility. This position may be filled at either a Level 3 or Level 4. Reporting to the Test Engineering Manager, the Test Engineering Technician 2 will be responsible for the execution of test procedures, as well as performing post-test data processing and reporting to engineers. The qualified candidate will have ownership of their work through all phases of product development, production, testing, and integration supporting internal and external teams as required. Primary Responsibilities: Provide test and technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Execute comprehensive component and system-level test plans, procedures, and test events. Participate in test planning and test readiness reviews. Analyze measurement requirements and equipment measurement tolerances. Define and maintain documented best practices for test processes and equipment. Contribute to maintaining and improving test equipment and infrastructure. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as component and systems-level test results and engineering design changes. Conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis. Maintains engineering documentation and reports (procedures and test reports). Support internal and external customers’ needs. Identify, troubleshoot, and solve test problems and aid manufacturing, inspection, and engineering issues. Analyze data and provide reports in a variety of customer formats.
