Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Engineering Manager 2 – Structural Analysis for the Palmdale Vehicle Engineering organization, reporting to the Vehicle Engineering (VE) Department Manager in Palmdale, CA on the 4/10 shift, 1st shift. The working hours for this position are 7:00 am - 4:30 pm, four days per week (Monday through Thursday). The manager will lead a growing team of structural analysis engineers and will be responsible for leading all managerial tasks relevant to structural analysis. The manager will work 80% of their time in the structural analysis engineering discipline, as directed by the Vehicle Engineering program IPT Lead. The manager will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and facilitating communications, tasking, scheduling, and technical reviews with each individual contributor’s execution lead in Palmdale, CA. Functional home room support, approximately 20% of the manager’s time will be focused on recruiting, staffing, retaining talent, weekly team meetings, bi-weekly 1:1 meetings, and holding performance review discussions.
